JEFFERY HERNANDEZ: One of the things that sets me apart from all other attorneys in Phoenix is the fact that I have years of experience as a claims adjustor for two top tier insurance companies.
One huge factor in, in handling claims is knowing that the insurance companies know who I am. They know that I'm going to go to the mat and fight them. They know that I won't lay down and settle a claim for low value. They know that I know the system.
Every adjustor I talk to, I let them know that I was an adjustor at one time in my life. And that does two things, it let's them know that I know what they're doing, I know what they're about to be doing and I know to call them on it when they're playing games.
It also provides me an opportunity to establish a rapport with the adjustors because I have been in the trenches just like they are. I know what they're up against. I know what pressures they're under to resolve claims. I know what pressures they're under to lowball claims.

JEFFERY HERNANDEZ: I am personally involved in all of my clients' cases. I feel a tremendous responsibility to handle my clients' claims as best as possible. I become emotionally involved with the my clients' claims, oftentimes to my detriment, but that's the way I handle files. That's the way I handle my clients' claims. That's the way I interact with my clients.
I like to believe that I'm able to establish a bond with my clients throughout their representation. And proof of that is the fact that when the cases are resolved, oftentimes the clients become my friends. I get Christmas cards from them. I get birthday cards from some of them. I get calls out of the blue from a lot of them just to say hello and to see how, how I'm doing. That means a lot to me.

JEFFERY HERNANDEZ: This sounds like a cliché but what gets me going is fighting the good fight. When I see somebody who's being mistreated or I see somebody who's being abused, I jump right in. I can't help it.
When a case is resolved and I'm able to meet with a client for the last time, I look them in the eye and they say to me, "Jeff, thank you very much. We're so happy we came to see you.
We're so thankful for your hard work." That is the most gratifying feeling for me as a professional, as a person. And that's what keeps me going every day.
